commentDenny Wychoff, at MM&S in Tucson, took my engine specs and my application over the phone, and designed cam specs to fit my needs. It could not have been a more perfect design, for my David Vizard type 407 Chev small block, using Dart Iron Eagle heads, in a '78 Chev, 4WD 1/2 ton automatic. Scat crank, Keith Black pistons. Hardened lifters, hardened push rods. 4-core radiator... Plus separate engine oil cooler. Block was concrete 1/2 filled, at the KS Diesel Machine Shop in Clarksburg, WV. The best for less.
I drove it 4-5 years. Played around, road racing other trucks. Steep uphill climbs were my specialty, with the 407 being untouchable. My only loss was when some young fool in a BMW passed me on curvy road. lol
The 407 is indoors now as my pet, but it is for sale, I'm 72 yo. Not too cheap though. 48,000 miles. life expectancy, 300,000 plus.
