I grew up in Huntington, went to the old Huntington High and attended Marshall. I am posting this review on behalf of my 82 year old mother who lives on a fixed income. On June 2, 2020, she went to River Cities Tire on 145 West Third Ave for an oil change. After she left, all the oil drained out of her car and ruined her engine. They had forgotten to put the oil filter and oil pan bolt back on. She went in with a perfectly-running Toyota Camry and ended up with no transportation. In the end, all that River Cities did was give her what their insurance company felt the worth of the car to be. Even though I made multiple phone calls and pleaded for them to make it right so she could at least have some money to purchase another car, they refused. In fact, their local insurance agent worked with them to not give my mother any extra money! In the end, it took nearly 2 months for them to even get the small amount of insurance money to her. When my mother shared this story with others, several mentioned similar treatment from the same business. One even recommended suing them! So, if you are looking for tires, repairs, or, heaven forbid, an oil change, we would highly recommend you try somewhere else and avoid the poor work, unfair treatment, financial loss, and personal stress of an experience with River Cities Tire.
