We went to Anchorage this weekend and rented a mini van from CHEAP WHEELS, INC. IN ANCHORAGE. for 24 hours the rental fee was $110. WE knew its expensve due to high season. Dont rent from them. They are not cheap but the cars are. about 50 miles outside of town or right rear wheel blew out and came off the car, so they are indeed CHEAP wheels. So we met an old guy on the road who so graciously changed our tire to the donut. I called the CHEAP Wheels guy up and told him we just had a blow out and now we had a temporary donut on, he was like whatever, I asked him if he had another car and we would be returning his rental because we cannot go anywhere on a donut in Alaska. (they are only good for 40 miles.) He said OK bring the car back and we will work something out. NEEDLESS TO SAY HE DID NOT MENTION, HE DID NOT HAVE ANY OTHER CARS! So when we got back to his rental agency and hour later, he said he did not have another car, and he charged us $100 for the flat tire and said it was our fault. He said we would not be able to rent another car becuase it was a Saturday and high season. What a joke! So we went across the street to Thrify rental, and we got a nice newer car for $55 for the same period of time. So I dont recommend CHEAP WHEELS RENTAL, unless you want your CHEAP WHEEL to fall off!!! ha ha.
