commentThis review is for another dealership Chris Doherty owns, Venice Toyota. After reading the reviews below and from a personal experience it must be that this guy condones any tactic to sell a car. The dealership is a storefront for crooks! The sales manager ray is untrustworthy and finance is just out to take you to the cleaners. WORST buying experience ever!!!!!!!!!

commentThey will lie to you to get the sale. I went in there and was very on edge about my purchase, there were just a few things that I was not clear of, but because it being a holiday weekend I cold not confirm. I was quoted a payoff (of my old car) by my previous dealer that I found out later was off by $1600.00, I went back up there the next day to explain the sitiuation and it put me over my budget and they just would not budge (when I sat down in the closing room, I did not quite understand the language under the payoff part, and because this was one of my concerns, I questioned it, I asked if this was not the correct pay off what are my options, he said that one of my options would be to pick up my old car). Well imagine my suprise when Iwent up there trying to get my car back they told me I either had to pick out a new car, extend the term of my loan or call an attorney. I WAS DEVASTATED, THEY LOOKED ME DEAD IN MY FACE AND TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT LET ME OUT OF THE CONTRACT BECAUSE THEY ALREADY FUNDED. (which id impossible when the bank is closed) I want everyone to know do not go here to purchase a car. And if they go to appraise your car make sure you get your keys back, they will hold them hostage until you get them and keep you all night I tried leaving several times and they kept pushing and pushing.

TAKEN - 7/5/2016 - They did the same thing to me at Venice Toyota. After accepting my offer which was lower than asking they wrote up the deal with the original asking price. Because I was told I was getting the discounted price I didn't counter my trade in value which was very low. Now they have it on the lot for 5 times what they gave me. Great way to make money off of hard working consumers. No better than a common thief!
