- One of the worst ambulette/medical transport companies on Long Island - - Concerned Step-Dad - 10/15/2013 - comment
For approximately 7-9 years Ricar Medical Transportation was paid to transport my severely challenged wheelchair bound step-son daily M-F to & from his " adult program ". Ricar was often late picking him in the morning and was often late bringing him home in the afternoon and even damaged his wheelchair once after it was not properly strapped in by Ricar. Instead of being grateful for the money they made transporting my step-son, I received a call one day from the owner, Rich, who told me that he had made a " business decision " to drop my step-son as a client in 3 days. I asked him to reconsider and give me a reasonable amount of time to locate a new transportation service but my plead fell on deaf ears. Suffice it to say that Ricar's lack of consideration was more than abundant to me . BTW - I did locate an ambulette transportation service that, unlike Ricar, does show consideration & concern for it's clients
