- New Reminder Sticker is No Longer Clear - - Denis Dzurinko - 7/12/2013 - comment
On 12 July 2013, I went to Oil Station for an oil change. I have been going there for years with two cars. This time, they put a white opaque label in the upper left corner of my windshield. In the past, it has always been clear. I find this new opaque sticker very distracting when driving. Like having a bug on your window. I liked the clear one as it provided me with a reminder with the mileage so I knew when to go back. When I got home, I called Oil Station and gave them input. I asked if there was any plan on going back to the clear reminder label. The woman said no. I said that I found it so distracting that it could cause me to go elsewhere for my future oil changes. She said sorry to loose your business but the owner will never change his mind. I didn't know that employees could make those types of decisions for the owner that affect loss of customers for future oil changes. I insisted that she give the owner a note and to please express my concerns. I always liked their service, but an employee is perfectly okay with loosing customers? I think it would behoove Oil Station to at least here what customers have to say, tell us you'll talk it over with the boss (Owner) and possibly even call us back so we know whether to continue to patronize the business rather than just simply wave goodbye to us. I'm sure Peter Moran didn't get successful blowing customers off. I'm writing this in hopes that the Owner gets to read it. If its read by the employee, it will probably simply be deleted.
