- Extended Warranty Epic Failure - - M.L. - 11/19/2020 - comment
I purchased a vehicle that had the factory CPO warranty, and submitted my vehicle for a transmission repair. They went round and round for two weeks, only to return a declined warranty claim. During the initial technician inspection, all gears were operational, with the exception of a grind going into 5th gear. The dealership refuses to provide the pictures that were supposedly sent to FORD, so there's no proof of any other damages, other than the 5th gear, which was the only recognized problem in the first place. This dealership is notorious for selling large volumes, but the follow up actions, post sale are terrible, especially warranty work. This is my second major problem with Automax. When taking another vehicle to them for a simple oil change, the technician failed to tighten the oil plug and while my daughter was driving the car on I-35, the vehicle stopped beause the oil ran out all over the road. They ultimately ended up replacing the engine, but it was after threats of lawsuits for negligence. Unfortunately, there is a limit to large volume dealerships in Central TX, otherwise I would tell everyone to look elsewhere. These guys are first place in screwing over a military town.
