I have done business with the Bakers for over 15 years. They've moved trailers and buildings for me. They even did some landscaping and turned my rocky property into something more manageable. He built a nice driveway and cut into rock that no one else would touch. Richard is a real easy man to work with. If he says his equipment is broke down, it's probably from trying to please his customers and doing things he shouldn't try, but he 'aims to please'. I've given him more work in the near future and I'm really excited about this project. He will be moving a really long mobile home over 100 miles across state lines. He gave me a great deal and too hard to refuse. I really trust him in everything he does.

  by polly.b.fleming on 04/16/2014Everything we hired this man to do failed inspection and he refused to correct the problems and quit in the middle of the job. We hired Baker in mid October. He put in a drain that the state road department stated was "woefully inadequate". The driveway was impassable. The house seat failed inspection because he leveled it up with fill dirt. Trees were left dangling dangerously from the branches of other trees. He was hired to move our double wide in this agreement. Come to find out he was going to borrow the equipment from someone else to do the job and was never able to obtain the equipment. Since he could not get the equipment he tried talking us out of moving our house. Baker quit the job after the house seat failed inspection. Suing him does no good because he has friends all the way to Raliegh and argues the people he screws over will be unjustly enriched due to his time on the job. We don't want anyone else to be screwed over by this man. If you don't believe me go ask anyone in the community. I wish we had before we hired him but not being from the area we didn't know. I wish I could post the pictures of his work on here.
